Job Description

Overview:

Insight Global is in search of an Operations Manager in Atlanta, GA to support one of our largest clients within the Engineering Consulting world. This person will be a seasoned professional within the overall world of Operations Management and its many facets. This person will be responsible for continued success of a consulting office, and will be directly responsible for many activities related to this success including; business development, client relationship, project scoping, and more. This person will be the new face of the Atlanta office, and should be prepared to professionally represent the company in many different facets.



Day to Day:

* Further develop and grow an already established and thriving office in Atlanta, GA to support regional growth and client diversification.

* In cooperation with Regional Manager and other offices, help to develop and implement business strategies, set annual marketing budgets, and prepare for bidding opportunities to meet required business metric goals.

* Develop and meet the goals contained in the Annual Operating Plan for the Atlanta, GA Operation.

* Manage overhead spending and staff utilization to meet goals.

* Lead, conduct and encourage diversified sales efforts

* Lead, mentor, train, and grow Tetra Tech's Atlanta staff.

* Conduct quarterly/annual staff performance evaluations.

* Work with the Regional Manager to identify areas for improvement within the office (e.g., technical, organization, systems, processes, etc.). Plan and implement or oversee implementation of the changes.

* Work with the Regional Manager when evaluating staff leveling - staff growth and/or work force reductions as necessary.

* Act as a Department, Project or Program Manager and main client contact for any work attained, including

- Ensuring timely, quality, and cost-effective work

- Maintaining effective client communications

- Collecting receivables

Required Skills & Experience

- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering

- Professional Engineer / Geologist License (PE / PG)

- 10+ years of experience in engineering/ environmental consulting services with experience in:

o Staff/group/portfolio/program/project management

o Full cycle business development process and building strong client relationships

- Experience preparing proposals, work plans, cost estimates for business plans for client growth & overseeing the implementation of the plans-business development beginning to end

Nice to Have Skills & Experience

- P&L management experience

- Project management scheduling software familiarity
