A global Financial Services client is looking for an Application/Systems Support Engineer to join their team in Alpharetta, GA in a hybrid onsite model (2 days in office). This person will be joining the Technology team supporting the organization's Wealth Management products, platforms and services, they will be aligned specifically to support the Trading Application. It is exclusively a Linux/Unix environment. He/she/they will be responsible for ensuring that every Linux app can be deployed, monitored, and managed in a consistent manner. If you're considering this for yourself note that it will require some escalated systems and application support after hours and on weekends at times (paid accordingly). This person should have strong familiarity with a variety of processes including working with vendors and internal teams to install and integrate third-party and internally developed applications using in-house frameworks and configuration management systems. Strong communication skills as well as collaboration is important to be successful in this role.
-Strong with scripting (language preference: Perl/Python; open to most)
-Extensive experience providing L3/L4 application/systems support in a Linux/Unix environment with Java/C# based apps (preferred)
-Knowledge of UNIX services such as system monitoring/sar, routing, DNS, nscd, LDAP, and NTP
-Excellent verbal and written communication skills
-Experience with messaging systems such as ActiveMQ, RabbitMQ, IBM MQ
-Familiarity with online brokerage or stock plan administration platforms
-Experience with automation/software config platforms (i.e. Puppet)
-Experience deploying apps in the Cloud (AWS or Azure)
