Job Description

A Fortune 500 client is seeking an Associate Vice President of Data Architecture to join their vast data solutions group. This individual will lead data strategy and high-level architecture design and manage up to eight Data Architects. This individual will have hands-on technical experience and will possess a strong business acumen to mentor, train, and develop the team. Primary responsibilities will include designing enterprise data architecture throughout a cloud migration, influencing negotiations with vendors, assisting in the roadmap design of modernizing legacy systems, and managing data pipelines. The AVP of Data Architecture will be a leader in modern technology as it relates to data architecture and data warehousing. This individual will come into the office on a hybrid schedule in Atlanta, GA, Portland, ME; Chattanooga, TN; or Columbia, SC. The AVP of Data Architecture will work with executives on strategy and data architecture design and must possess a professional business acumen.

Required Skills & Experience

10+ years working in the technical field.

5+ years as a Data Architect, building roadmaps & defining data strategy

5+ years of experience leading direct reports (performance reviews, mentoring, etc.)

Proficient experience working with data in the cloud (AWS or Snowflake Preferred

Nice to Have Skills & Experience

Experience designing data architecture during cloud migration.

Knowledge of working in Microservices

Teradata experience

Machine Learning and Advanced Data Analytics experience
