Job Description

Job Overview:

- Immediate Tasks that need to be handled include:

Perform a detailed assessment of SSB US Payroll Tax compliance and current state.

Represent SSB to work and resolve tax notices and compliance notifications, working with ADP tax vendor and regulatory agencies as needed.

Perform payroll tax reconciliations and other analyses as needed to support the above.

Once 100%, document SSB payroll tax processes to remain compliant.

- Ongoing Tasks they will be responsible for:

Perform US PR tax reconciliation, reporting and analysis every pay period, monthly, qtrly, annually.

Partner with SSB corporate tax and finance on initiatives, projects, inquiries, etc., providing guidance and reporting from a payroll tax perspective.

Provide support with the SSB transition from ADP to Alight for payroll tax service vendor.

Provide ongoing payroll tax support for a small Canada population with single legal entity.

Manage year-end payroll tax statement generation (W2s, T4s, W2PR, etc.)

Required Skills & Experience

Must Haves:

10+ years of experience in payroll tax

Deep Payroll Tax Expertise: UI/Withholding at Fed / State / Local

Proven experience in managing payroll tax compliance for US company in many states and jurisdictions.

Knows SAP SuccessFactors Employe Central Payroll including running wage type reports.

Experienced working with regulatory agencies to resolve notices and support audits.

Nice to have:

prior experience assisting clients with migration to different payroll tax service vendor.
