The Solutions Architect (SA) will be responsible for the design of platform integrations for traditional products and next generation solutions involved the efforts. The SA will drive transformation and modernization efforts across all solutions and product teams. Working with Development, Product and other Infrastructure Services teams, the SA will work closely with leadership on integrating products and enablement programs. Expertise in Infrastructure as Code (IaC) as well as on-prem technologies (servers, network, storage, databases) along with experience in Cloud Service Provider (CSP) such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud. A high degree of collaboration with Development and other IS teams is required to design efficient, resilient and sustainable solutions to underpin the desired business outcomes. The ideal candidate will exhibit strong leadership skills, will be forward thinking, will be self-motivated, and will be able to work effectively in a diverse, highly talented team, continuously striving for excellence.
The SA will hold and participate in road mapping sessions, "what-if" design theories, drive go-forward decisions, prioritization of work and contribute to technology debt management. An SA will be expected to advocate technical architecture and build consensus for the adoption of new technologies across multiple functional teams.
The ideal candidate will exhibit strong client-facing skills, leadership skills, will be forward thinking and can work across a multitude of technical and non-technical groups.
Required Skills & Experience
Top Skills Needed:
1. Terraform/Infrastructure as Code experience
2. Cloud Experience- Azure preferred, AWS a plus
3. Infrastructure background
4. Need to come from a Lead background -- not running/operating/supporting projects but leading the delivery
* Experience interacting with customers and appropriate representatives to analyze, validate, specify, verify, document and manage solution requirements.
* Experience with on-prem technologies and integration platforms
* Experience with CSP environments (AWS/Azure/Google Cloud)
* Experience in the complete SDLC cycle including associated deployment methodologies, QA processes, and performance tuning efforts.
* Experience in Automation/Continuous Integration
* Experience working in Agile and Waterfall environments
* Experience with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform)
* Working knowledge of networking protocols and components including TCP/IP, DNS, CIFS.
* Experience designing and implementing High Availability and Disaster Recovery solutions.
* Experience working on a matrix team consisting of a variety of Infrastructure Engineering groups, as well as Development groups and Client Relationship groups.
* Willingness and capability of quickly learning new technologies required for accomplishing project goals.
