A client of Insight Global is looking to bring on a Data Scientist. This individual will be responsible for quantitative analysis on structured pricing products and developing tools and models for forecast and valuation. The position maintains the existing quantitative models and provides detailed report on model results timely and accurately. The position is accountable for continuously improving models, analysis, and database across different markets. The candidate must be able to develop and implement advanced modeling methodologies to foster company-wide business decision making. This position also requires establishing close working relationship with other teams across the enterprise.
* Bachelor's degree in mathematics, economics, engineering, or similar discipline
* 3-5 years' experience in data science, analytics, and database management in the energy or finance industry
* Proven track record of model creation and management in a business environment
* Knowledge of data base management systems such as Oracle, SQL Server, MySQL, or Microsoft Access
* Experiences of machine learning and data visualization
* Strong experience in Python, Tableau, Power BI, predictive modeling
* Experience with SQL
* Proven record of experience working with large databases and use of statistical models for valuation and
* prediction.
* Demonstrate quantitative skills and ability to apply complex financial and statistical principles
* Ability to manage multiple projects at once with several departments and stakeholders in a timely fashion
