A client of Insight Global; is looking for a DevOps Engineer to support their Digital Menu and Pricing teams. The ideal candidate for this position will not be a Developer so much as a very experienced and skilled Operations person whose experience is in supporting CI/CD pipelines and related DevOps work. The ideal candidate will be able to demonstrate the ability to troubleshoot pipeline issues independently utilizing the information available to them from GitHub, Cloud Formation, other AWS services, OpsGenie alerts, and application log information captured from DataDog , then work both individually and with development and 3rd party teams to implement a fix. This implementation could require the Python or Java script code so the ideal candidate will be a competent coder in either Python or both Python and Java.
* Minimum of 3 years in a hands-on DevOps role supporting CI/CD and build/release pipelines in an AWS Cloud environment
* Must have demonstrable skill with implementing and troubleshooting infrastructure configurations created using AWS CloudFormation and base services like EC2, Elastic Beanstalk, S3, Lambda Functions, and hosted databases
* Minimum of 3 years hands-on troubleshooting and configuring repository and build automation leveraging GitHub and GitHub Actions
* Must have 2 to 3 years hands-on experience configuring applications to utilize logging and alerting services like DataDog and OpsGenie and using these tools for troubleshooting application issues
* Must have a working knowledge of integrating pre-built unit tests and test automation into CI/CD pipelines
* Must demonstrate a working knowledge of Python script programming and core Java
* Must have experience with Java build and package tools like Maven and Gradle
* Experience implementing and configuring Kubernetes and migrating applications into a Kubernetes environment
* Experience with Docker
* Experience building and maintaining applications written in Spring Boot, Angular, and or Golang
* Experience working as part of a Production Operations or Production Cloud Infrastructure support team
