Job Description

An employer is looking for a RF Communications engineer in Atlanta.



Key Responsibilities

-Perform circuit simulation and schematic capture for submodules of a platform design

-Generate documentation of hardware Design and theory of operation

-Perform basic lab testing activities

-Integrate modules with other system components

-Contribute to technical reports and presentations



Additional Responsibilities

-Analyze and characterize system operations for custom sponsor equipment

-Characterize RF performance of custom sponsor equipment

-Perform analysis and characterization of custom communication protocols

-Perform analysis and characterization of various RF waveforms

Required Skills & Experience

- BS in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or Computer Science

- Ability to earn a Master's degree within five years of employment if Master's degree is not already held

-Experience in hardware design

-Strong background in the field of communication systems

-Experience with RF design and system characterization

Nice to Have Skills & Experience

-Active Secret Clearance

-Experience with design, development, or testing of embedded systems

-Experience with one or more SDR frameworks such as GNU Radio / USRP, RTL-SDR, Redhawk, X-MIDAS

-Experience with hardware debugging or reverse engineering.

-Experience with one or more programming language.

-Experience with communications buses such as SPI, I2C, etc.

-Ability to clearly present complicated technical concepts to a wide range of audiences.
