Responsibilities
Primary Responsibility:
Working primarily with .NET, SQL and Web design platforms, the Sr, Manager designs / leads the software architectures, transforms user needs & functional designs/specifications into technical system designs, develops/codes the solution, performs unit testing, and debugs and maintains programs/code throughout the various stages of development from proof of concept prototypes to functional software. The Sr. Manager will be collaborating with cross-functional teams and providing us with the insights necessary to think beyond the status quo. You'll oversee small project teams consisting of other engineers who will look to you as a trusted advisor, a subject matter expert who provides guidance and the right tools to get the job done.
Essential Functions:
* Guide/Mentor software engineers and analysts
* Manage resource allocation and provide technical leadership for multiple projects.
* Accountable for the delivery of analytics/apps projects
* Design and build technical processes to address business issues.
* Collaborate with stakeholders within -- Business Operations, Sales / Business Development, Finance and Customers
* Communicate updates and trains Customers and Internal Business Units (audience ranging from Warehousing/Day-to-Day Inventory Associates to Senior level leaders)
* DESIGN: Works closely with Functional/Systems Analyst to develop and document user stories considering architectural, as well as programmatic aspects of the agreed-upon solution. Prepares and validates time estimates for program modifications, enhancements, new application software, or any other technology requirements. Follows appropriate internal processes, as well as established industry standards for software design.
* DEVELOPMENT: Develops software based on approved design. Writes new programs or creates modifications to existing applications as necessary based on project requirements. Follows appropriate internal processes, as well as established industry standards for software coding, documentation, and code management.
* TESTING: Creates test plans, test files, and scripts for unit testing through integration testing. Performs testing as required & documents results. Follows appropriate internal processes, as well as established industry standards for software testing.
* IMPLEMENTATION: Follows appropriate change management and implementation procedures. Ensures that appropriate technical and functional documentation is prepared.
* SUPPORT: Primarily supports i-3PL and other integration applications. Shares responsibility for Call Center support. Provides on-call or after hours support to new applications after implementation.
Required Skills & Experience
* 8-10 years' of software development experience
* Hands on .NET and angular experience
* AWS Experience
* Experience supporting Oracle based databases
* Integration experience -- ability to write apis
