Job Description
The qualified applicant will collaborate with leaders and technical SMEs to
provide capacity development support to the customer for classroom and remote instruction. The applicant will also conceptualize, design and implement training across multiple knowledge areas across public health informatics including data security, governance, interoperability and developing the informatics workforce in a global setting to enhance performance of government agency and public health staff on wide range of program implementation topics. The candidate will:
* Execute all phases of a typical training cycle: Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, and Evaluation (ADDIE).
* Consult directly with subject matter experts to design and develop engaging content for a variety of audiences and delivery modes (in person, online, webinar, etc.) with clear strategies and tactics to achieve desired learning outcomes.
* Engage with SMEs to lead content development aligning competencies and curriculum based on feedback and ensuring that learning objectives align with content.
* Provide expertise with designing and creating distance-based and classroom training material.
* Design applied learning content including scenario-based modules and case studies.
* Develop competencies and curricula for training courses, programs and workshops that align with learning objectives
* Identify critical knowledge, skills, and attitudes required to support training objectives
* Create instructor materials (course outlines, agendas, background material, instructional materials, and training aids).
* The applicant will design, develop and deliver instructional training including face-to-face, remote and self-guided trainings to enhance performance of government agency and public health staff on wide range of program implementation topics in a global setting.
* Define learning outcome metrics and assess effectiveness of developed trainings.
* Design and conduct evaluation of training outcomes
* Ensure the quality and consistency of training content throughout all developed forms of media.
* Ensure that the training plan and content is in accordance with business requirements, and established Quality Assurance processes/controls.
* Oversee informatics training to be delivered via various media to a variety of audiences.
Required Skills & Experience
To be considered for this position, you must minimally meet the knowledge, skills, and abilities listed below:
* M.S./M.A degree in an instructional field, communications, public health or related field.
* 4 years of experience planning and conducting classroom training, distance-based learning, online learning, and other Computer Based Training aids (CBT).
* Experience designing, developing, implementing and evaluating training, preferably informatics.
* Experience using a wide variety of approaches to engage different learning styles.
* Demonstrated experience preparing, conducting, and evaluating informatics trainings.
* Demonstrated experience in drafting/writing communication content, materials, and products.
* Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite
* Ability to interact professionally with a diverse group of executives, managers, and subject matter experts.
* Ability to work in a collaborative and dynamic environment
* Experience in conducting training evaluation and assessment of trainee competencies
* Experience working with Rise 360, Lectora Professional Suite, Camtasia Studio and/or Adobe Captivate and learning management systems
