Job Description

We are seeking an experienced SAP Program Manager to lead a large-scale SAP modernization initiative involving the transition from SAP ECC and/or on-premises SAP environments to SAP RISE and S/4HANA. This individual will serve as the primary leader responsible for driving successful delivery across technology, business, data, infrastructure, integrations, change management, and vendor workstreams.

The ideal candidate has successfully led enterprise SAP transformation programs from strategy through deployment and stabilization. They are highly organized, technically credible, calm under pressure, and known for building trust across stakeholders. This person must be able to navigate executive conversations, manage challenging situations professionally, and bring diverse teams together toward a common goal.

Key Responsibilities
Lead end-to-end SAP modernization and transformation programs involving SAP ECC, SAP RISE, S/4HANA, SAP BTP, and cloud-enabled architectures.
Establish and manage program governance, executive steering committees, status reporting, RAID management, budgets, and timelines.
Coordinate cross-functional teams spanning SAP functional, technical, infrastructure, security, integration, data migration, testing, and change management workstreams.
Drive migration strategy decisions including Brownfield, Greenfield, and Selective Transformation approaches.
Partner with business stakeholders to align transformation objectives with organizational priorities and expected business outcomes.
Manage system integrators, consulting partners, SAP resources, and third-party vendors.
Oversee data migration, cutover planning, environment management, testing strategy, and deployment readiness activities.
Facilitate issue resolution and escalation management across technical and business teams.
Ensure successful adoption of SAP best practices while balancing business requirements and organizational change.
Drive executive communication and provide transparent updates on program health, risks, dependencies, and milestones.
Lead post-go-live stabilization efforts and continuous improvement initiatives.

Required Skills & Experience

10+ years of enterprise program or project management experience.
5+ years leading SAP transformation, modernization, or migration initiatives.
Demonstrated experience delivering SAP ECC to SAP S/4HANA and/or SAP RISE transformation programs.
Strong understanding of SAP architecture, integrations, customizations, data migration, and cloud transformation methodologies.
Experience managing large enterprise programs with multiple workstreams and stakeholder groups.
Familiarity with SAP Activate methodology.
Experience overseeing SAP functional areas such as Finance, Supply Chain, Procurement, Manufacturing, or Human Capital Management.
Strong understanding of governance, risk management, dependency management, and executive communications.
Experience managing budgets, vendor relationships, statements of work, and program financials.

Nice to Have Skills & Experience

SAP S/4HANA transformation experience within large enterprise environments.
Experience with SAP BTP, SAP Datasphere, SAP Integration Suite, and cloud platforms such as Azure, AWS, or GCP.
Experience supporting global deployments and business process standardization initiatives.
PMP, PgMP, Agile, SAFe, or SAP certifications.
Consulting or professional services background.
