Full Stack Developer - Python

Job Description:
Insight Global is seeking a Python SQL Developer for a top client. This candidate will be responsible for developing and maintaining backend applications, optimizing database performance, and delivering scalable solutions using Python and SQL. The ideal individual will have a strong understanding of secure software development practices and be comfortable building systems with security, compliance, and data protection in mind. Additionally, this person should be enthusiastic about leveraging modern AI-powered development tools to accelerate coding, testing, documentation, and problem-solving efforts. Day-to-Day:
• Design, develop, and maintain Python-based applications and services
• Develop and optimize SQL queries, database schemas, and stored procedures
• Partner with security teams to implement secure coding practices and vulnerability remediation
• Leverage AI-powered development tools to improve coding efficiency, testing, and documentation
• Build and maintain integrations with internal and external systems
• Participate in code reviews and technical design discussions
• Monitor application performance and troubleshoot production issues
• Create technical documentation and contribute to development best practices
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver scalable solutions

• 5+ years of Python development experience
• Strong SQL development and database design experience
• Experience writing complex queries, stored procedures, and performance tuning
• Solid understanding of secure software development principles
• Knowledge of application security, data protection, authentication, and authorization best practices
• Experience working with cloud environments (AWS, Azure, or GCP)
• Experience integrating APIs and building scalable backend services
• Strong debugging, troubleshooting, and analytical skills
• Experience working in Agile development environments

• Experience with AI/LLM tools such as GitHub Copilot, ChatGPT, Claude, Cursor, or similar
• Machine Learning or AI integration experience
• Experience with vector databases and RAG architectures
• Security certifications or experience partnering with cybersecurity teams
• Experience with DevOps, CI/CD pipelines, and infrastructure automation
• Exposure to data engineering or ETL processes
• Experience with Docker and Kubernetes
