Job Description

BIM Modeling & Design Support
Develop, update, and maintain detailed 3D BIM models for civil, structural, electrical, and utility infrastructure projects.
Create construction drawings, plan sets, sections, details, and design documentation from BIM models.
Support engineering teams throughout project planning, design, and construction phases.
Ensure design packages comply with company standards, client specifications, and industry requirements.
Coordination & Clash Detection
Perform clash detection and model coordination reviews between engineering disciplines.
Coordinate with civil, electrical, structural, and construction teams to resolve conflicts and improve constructability.
Participate in design reviews and coordination meetings with internal and external stakeholders.
Support project teams with model updates and revisions throughout the project lifecycle.
Construction & Field Support
Assist construction teams by providing BIM-based solutions and design support.
Develop model-based construction packages and as-built documentation.
Respond to design-related requests and support field teams with technical information.
Collaborate with contractors, subcontractors, and project management teams during project execution.
Quality Assurance
Maintain BIM standards and best practices across projects.
Conduct quality control reviews of models and drawings for accuracy and completeness.
Support document management and version control processes.
Ensure all deliverables meet project schedules and quality expectations.

Required Skills & Experience

Required Qualifications
Education
Associate's or Bachelor's Degree in Engineering Technology, Drafting, Design Technology, Architecture, Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or related field.
Experience
3+ years of BIM modeling, design, or CAD experience.
Experience supporting engineering and construction projects.
Experience working within EPC, utility, infrastructure, industrial, or commercial construction environments.
Knowledge of engineering drawing standards and construction documentation.
Technical Skills
Autodesk Revit
AutoCAD
Civil 3D
Navisworks
BIM 360 / Autodesk Construction Cloud
Microsoft Office Suite
Preferred Experience
Utility, transmission & distribution (T&D), or substation project experience.
Experience supporting electrical or civil engineering teams.
Familiarity with GIS mapping and engineering databases.
Experience producing construction-ready design packages.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience supporting large-scale EPC projects.
Knowledge of power delivery, substations, renewable energy, or utility infrastructure.
Understanding of engineering workflows, construction sequencing, and field operations.
Experience coordinating with external consultants and contractors.
