Key Responsibilities
Engineering Leadership
Lead and mentor multidisciplinary engineering teams including civil, electrical, structural, and design professionals.
Establish engineering standards, quality assurance processes, and technical best practices.
Drive continuous improvement initiatives related to design efficiency, project execution, and resource utilization.
Provide technical leadership on complex utility and infrastructure projects.
EPC Project Delivery
Oversee engineering activities for EPC projects from initial pursuit through construction closeout.
Collaborate with project management, procurement, and construction teams to ensure successful project delivery.
Support project planning, scheduling, budgeting, and risk management activities.
Resolve technical challenges during engineering and construction phases.
Business Development & Proposals
Lead engineering support for RFP responses, competitive bids, and strategic pursuits.
Review and develop technical proposals, project scopes, cost estimates, and execution plans.
Participate in client presentations and technical proposal reviews.
Assist leadership with project forecasting, market expansion, and growth initiatives.
Contractor & Construction Management
Support construction operations through engineering guidance, design reviews, and field support.
Coordinate with contractors, subcontractors, suppliers, and owner representatives.
Evaluate contractor performance and ensure compliance with project specifications.
Review constructability, value engineering opportunities, and procurement strategies.
Client Management
Serve as a senior technical advisor for key utility, energy, and infrastructure clients.
Build and maintain strong relationships with customers, engineering consultants, contractors, and regulatory agencies.
Support contract negotiations and project execution strategies.

Required Skills & Experience
Required Qualifications
Education
Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering, Civil Engineering, or related engineering discipline.
Master's Degree preferred.
PE
Certifications
Active Professional Engineer (PE) License required.
Ability to obtain additional state PE registrations as needed.
Experience
12+ years of engineering experience in utility, power, energy, infrastructure, or EPC environments.
5+ years of engineering leadership or engineering management experience.
Demonstrated experience supporting construction execution on large-scale projects.
Extensive experience preparing and reviewing RFPs, bids, estimates, and technical proposals.
Experience coordinating and managing engineering consultants and contractors.
Proven background in EPC project execution.
Technical Experience
Candidates should possess experience in one or more of the following areas:
Power generation
Transmission and Distribution (T&D)
Substation design
Utility infrastructure
Renewable energy
Civil site development
Electrical design engineering
Protection and control systems
Power system analysis
Construction engineering support
Preferred Qualifications
Experience leading engineering organizations with 25+ technical professionals.
Knowledge of utility regulations, industry standards, and safety requirements.
Experience overseeing multi-million-dollar capital projects.
Strong background in project budgeting, forecasting, and resource planning.
Experience with engineering software, design platforms, and project management tools.
