Our client is transforming the automotive locksmith industry through cutting-edge robotics, mobile technology, and exceptional customer experiences. We are seeking a Mobile Operations Manager to lead a team of Mobile Operations Technicians while delivering outstanding customer service, driving sales, and ensuring operational excellence in the field.
This role combines leadership, customer service and sales, and hands-on technical expertise. The Mobile Operations Manager will oversee a team of 3-4 technicians at retail partner locations, serve as the team's technical expert, and help develop technicians through coaching, training, and ongoing support.
The ideal candidate is a strong people leader who also has direct experience cutting, duplicating, and programming automotive keys, fobs, and remotes.
What You'll Do: Leadership, Sales & Customer Experience
- Lead, coach, and develop a team of 3-4 Mobile Operations Technicians.
- Train new and existing technicians on customer service, sales techniques, operational procedures, and automotive key programming.
- Drive team sales performance through customer engagement, relationship-building, and service excellence.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for escalated customer concerns and ensure positive resolutions.
-Build and maintain strong relationships with retail partners and customers.
- Educate customers on products, services, pricing, and available solutions.
- Ensure technicians consistently deliver an exceptional customer experience.
-Monitor team performance, sales metrics, customer satisfaction, and productivity goals.
- Foster a positive, collaborative, and customer-focused team culture.
Technical & Operational Leadership
-Serve as the team's subject matter expert for automotive key cutting and programming.
- Cut, duplicate, clone, and program automotive keys, fobs, and remotes when needed.
- Train technicians on programming procedures, troubleshooting methods, and quality standards.
- Support technicians with complex programming issues and customer situations.
- Ensure all completed keys are tested for functionality and accuracy before customer delivery.
- Maintain first-time-right quality standards to minimize remakes and customer callbacks.
- Oversee inventory management, equipment maintenance, and mobile workspace organization.
- Ensure vans, tools, machines, tablets, and POS systems remain operational and well-maintained.
- Monitor inventory levels and coordinate replenishment of keys, remotes, and supplies.

Compensation: $65,000 + uncapped commission

Required Skills & Experience
- Professional experience cutting, duplicating, and programming automotive keys, fobs, and remotes.
- Ability to train, coach, and develop technicians on key programming and customer service best practices.
- Previous leadership experience as a Team Lead, Supervisor, Assistant Manager, Manager, or similar role.
- Strong customer service and sales mindset.
- Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
- Comfortable leading a team while remaining hands-on in daily operations.
- Experience working toward sales goals, service metrics, or performance targets.
- Tech-savvy and comfortable with tablets, POS systems, mobile applications, and inventory systems.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
Nice to Have Skills & Experience
Automotive locksmith experience.
Mobile service or field operations experience.
Retail leadership, wireless sales leadership, banking leadership, hospitality management, or automotive service management experience.
Experience managing inventory, merchandising, or retail operations.
Automotive, mechanical, or technical troubleshooting experience.
