Job Description

About the Role:
The Sr. Director of Cloud, Infrastructure & Operations leads the strategy, architecture, and operational excellence of the enterprise’s technology foundation. This leader owns all infrastructure, networks, cloud environments, endpoints, service delivery, and operational monitoring that support 100+ clinics, corporate sites, and digital platforms.

The ideal candidate drives modernization through cloud-first architecture, automation, Zero Trust security, and AIOps-enabled operations. This role ensures the enterprise has a resilient, scalable, cost-optimized technology backbone capable of supporting value-based care, rapid expansion, and digital transformation.

Key Responsibilities:
Infrastructure & Connectivity
•Carve‑Out: Stand up new network architecture (SD‑WAN, VPN, site connectivity) independent of the parent organization and execute clinic cutover with zero downtime.
•Post‑Carve: Scale and optimize the new network environment to support rapid expansion and digital health workloads.
•Operate and optimize WAN/LAN, SD WAN, VPN, and clinic connectivity.
•Maintain reliable networks, devices, and peripherals across clinics and corporate sites.

Workflow Optimization & Provider Experience
•Design efficient, standardized clinical workflows in partnership with clinical leadership.
•Reduce provider burden through documentation, ordering, and charting optimization.
•Improve clinic throughput and care team efficiency.
•Support adoption through training, change management, and feedback loops.

Cloud Operations
•Own cloud architecture, landing zones, and governance standards.
•Carve Out: Build greenfield cloud landing zones, migrate workloads from parent environments, and establish new cloud governance and operational tooling.
•Automate provisioning, patching, monitoring, and configuration via IaC.
•Implement cloud security controls and integrate workloads with IAM/MFA and Zero Trust.
•Optimize cloud performance and cost for EMR hosting, analytics, and digital platforms.

IT Operations & Service Delivery
•Lead Tier 1/2 support, service desk operations, and clinic field support.
•Own ITIL processes: incident, problem, change, asset, and configuration management.
•Implement enterprise monitoring and AIOps for anomaly detection and remediation.
•Carve‑Out: Stand up new ITSM, monitoring, logging, and observability platforms to replace parent‑provided services.
•Post‑Carve: Build operational rigor, SLAs, KPIs, and automation‑driven service delivery.

Security & Compliance Partnership
•Enforce endpoint protection, patching, and vulnerability remediation.
•Maintain identity, access, and privileged access controls.
•Support HIPAA, SOC, HITRUST, and audit readiness.

Business Continuity & Disaster Recovery
•Own DR strategy, backups, failover architecture, and RTO/RPO targets.
•Conduct DR testing for EMR, Oracle Fusion, RCM, HRIS, and digital platforms.

Identity & Access Management (IAM)
•Carve‑Out: Establish a new identity tenant, migrate all users/devices/workloads, and implement Zero Trust from day one
•Operate and optimize enterprise identity platforms (Azure AD/Entra, Okta, or equivalent).
•Manage SSO, MFA, conditional access, RBAC, and PAM.
•Automate identity lifecycle (joiner/mover/leaver) across all systems.
•Partner with Security to maintain identity governance, audit readiness, and compliance.

Automation & Efficiency
•Automate provisioning, device setup, onboarding/offboarding, and environment management.
•Implement self service portals and reduce operational toil through scripting and orchestration.

Vendor & License Management
•Carve‑Out: Establish new vendor contracts, licensing, and support models to replace parent agreements
•Manage infrastructure, cloud, and operations vendors, contracts, SLAs, and renewals.
•Ensure license compliance across OS, cloud, virtualization, and endpoint tools.

Strategic Planning
•Carve‑Out: Build and execute TSA exit plan, cutover strategy, and Day‑1 readiness.
•Develop multi year infrastructure and cloud modernization roadmap.
•Plan for scalability to support new clinics, services, and digital capabilities.
•Evaluate emerging technologies (AIOps, edge computing, cloud native services)
