Insight Global is seeking a Safety, Environmental & Compliance Consultant for a leading cruise and marine operations client. This individual will provide interim leadership and hands-on support across safety, environmental, security, and compliance functions within the organization. The consultant will oversee the company's Safety Management System, manage regulatory compliance initiatives, support fleet-wide audit readiness, lead incident investigations, and partner closely with marine operations leadership to maintain operational excellence. This role is ideal for a seasoned maritime compliance professional who can quickly step into a high-impact environment, influence stakeholders across all levels, and ensure continuity of critical safety and environmental programs during a transitional period.

Required Skills & Experience
· Strong experience managing Safety Management Systems (SMS) and compliance programs
· Background in safety, environmental, regulatory, and compliance operations within cruise, maritime, or commercial shipping environments
· Experience supporting ISM, ISPS, environmental audits, and regulatory compliance initiatives
· Experience with incident investigations, root cause analysis, and corrective action management
· Ability to work independently and step into a leadership-level role with minimal onboarding
Strong organizational and communication skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously
Nice to Have Skills & Experience
· Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Environmental Engineering, Marine Engineering, Marine Operations, Naval Architecture, or related field
· Marine Engineering license or Deck License
· Experience with environmental reporting, sustainability initiatives, and fleet compliance programs
· Familiarity with MARPOL, SOLAS, MLC, STCW, and related maritime regulations
Experience with compliance tracking software, document management systems, or SMS platforms
