Job Description
A client of Insight Global is seeking a Sr. Financial Systems Business Analyst to join their team in Tampa, FL. This position acts as the bridge between Finance, Accounting, business stakeholders, and IT teams in order to improve and support financial systems. Much of the role involves meeting with end users to understand current processes, documenting workflows and business requirements, identifying inefficiencies, and translating business needs into technical requirements for developers and system administrators. They will manage initiatives such as financial application upgrades, system enhancements, process automation projects, and new software implementations, while evaluating how proposed changes impact existing systems, integrations, data flows, and reporting. On a daily basis, they would create and maintain project documentation, facilitate meetings, track issues and action items, coordinate testing efforts, and work closely with developers and QA teams to ensure solutions meet business requirements. After implementations, they would provide user support, troubleshoot issues, gather feedback, and identify additional opportunities to improve financial processes and system functionality. The role is highly cross-functional and project-driven, requiring frequent stakeholder communication, problem-solving, requirements gathering, and oversight of multiple concurrent initiatives

Required Skills & Experience
4+ years of experience as a Systems Analyst or Business Analyst
Advanced T-SQL exp (queries, report writing, aggregations, CTEs, Window functions, subqueries, string functions, etc.)
Proficiency in Financial systems and accounting software, such as Aderant
Experience gathering requirements and writing Business Requirements Documents (BRD)
Ability to understand technology requirements for future state business processes, including system requirements, data usage, and system integration points
Excellent exec-facing communication & presentation skills
Nice to Have Skills & Experience
Legal finance experience
Aderant Enterprise experience
