Job Description

Our client is seeking an Operations Analyst to join their Financial Operations team supporting Banking-as-a-Service (BaaS) products and payment operations. This individual will serve as a key liaison between clients, banking partners, and internal teams while driving operational excellence across onboarding, payment processing, compliance, and customer support functions.
This position is approximately 30% client-facing and 70% back-office operations, making it ideal for someone who enjoys balancing relationship management with operational execution. The Operations Analyst will help support day-to-day administrative and operational functions while partnering closely with Operations, Compliance, Underwriting, Product, and Banking teams to ensure a seamless client experience.

Serve as a liaison between clients, banking partners, and internal teams to resolve escalated operational and payment-related issues
Support onboarding and integration activities for new clients and partners
Partner with Sales and Underwriting teams to collect, validate, and manage onboarding documentation
Assist clients and internal stakeholders with application, onboarding, and account-related inquiries
Monitor daily banking and payment activities to ensure smooth execution of transactions and operational processes
Support ACH, RTP, wire transfer, and card payment operations, with heavy exposure to ACH processing
Investigate payment exceptions, transaction discrepancies, and operational issues while coordinating resolution with appropriate stakeholders
Assist with financial reconciliation activities and support reporting accuracy
Identify opportunities for process improvements, automation, and operational efficiencies
Collaborate with Compliance, Product, Engineering, Support, and Underwriting teams to improve operational workflows and client experience
Assist with audit preparation, compliance reviews, regulatory reporting, and operational documentation

Salary: $50-$70K

Required Skills & Experience

3+ years of experience in Operations, Client Services, Account Management, Banking Operations, Payments Operations, Fintech, Financial Services, or a related environment
Experience supporting client onboarding, account operations, payment processing workflows, or financial operations
Strong customer-facing communication skills with the ability to interact professionally with clients, banking partners, and internal stakeholders
Experience researching, investigating, and resolving operational issues, transaction discrepancies, or payment-related inquiries
Ability to work cross-functionally with Compliance, Product, Engineering, Sales, Support, and Underwriting teams
Intermediate to advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including formulas, reporting, and data analysis
Exposure to SQL and data extraction/reporting

Nice to Have Skills & Experience

Banking-as-a-Service (BaaS) experience
Fintech, banking, or payments industry experience
Knowledge of ACH, RTP (Real-Time Payments), wire transfers, and card payment processing
Understanding of KYC, KYB, AML, BSA, NACHA, and other financial regulatory requirements
Experience working with third-party banking partners
Experience supporting client onboarding or account management functions
Exposure to API-driven banking platforms, embedded finance, payment gateways, or core banking systems
Reconciliation experience within a financial or payment environment
Experience with underwriting, compliance operations, or risk-related processes
Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business, Economics, or a related field (or equivalent professional experience)
