Job Description
My client Communications is hiring a Product Owner / Product Manager to lead the Fision mobile app and web experience — the digital front door to our internet, TV, and smart-living services. You will own a meaningful slice of our customer-facing product portfolio and partner with senior product, design, engineering, and customer experience leaders to set strategy, ship the right features, and obsess over the details that turn good apps into award-winning ones.
This is a hands-on role for someone with a few years of product experience who is ready to take more ownership. You'll write the user stories, run the standups, prioritize the backlog, and stand behind the customer experience that ships. You'll have senior product leaders to learn from, but you'll be expected to operate independently on your squad and grow into a Senior Product Manager within 18–24 months.
Set Strategy and Vision with Stakeholders
• Partner with senior leaders across Customer Experience, Marketing, Engineering, and Operations to define a multi-quarter vision for the Fision mobile and web experience.
• Translate business goals and customer insights into a clear product strategy with measurable outcomes (ratings, NPS, adoption, retention, support deflection).
• Run discovery workshops, stakeholder reviews, and executive read-outs. Build alignment before you build the feature.
Own the Delivery Roadmap
• Own the product backlog and quarterly roadmap for one or more squads building the Fision app and web portal.
• Lead sprint planning, backlog refinement, and release activities. Make trade-off calls between scope, quality, and timing — and communicate them clearly.
• Hold the line on quality. No feature ships if it would put our app store rating, accessibility standards, or customer trust at risk.
• Track delivery against committed dates, surface risks early, and drive resolution.
Document User Stories and Customer Flows
• Author clear, well-scoped user stories with strong acceptance criteria that engineering can build from and QA can test against without ambiguity.
• Map and maintain end-to-end customer journeys for high-impact tasks — onboarding, billing, troubleshooting, account management, smart-home control, streaming.
• Maintain product documentation in Jira, Confluence, and Figma so the entire team — and any new engineer or designer joining tomorrow — has a single source of truth.
Build Award-Winning, 5-Star Customer Experiences
• Treat the Apple App Store and Google Play rating as a primary KPI. Monitor reviews daily, identify the themes behind 1- and 2-star feedback, and turn those themes into prioritized roadmap work.
• Partner with UX research and design to run regular usability testing, customer interviews, and beta programs. Bake findings into the next release, not the next year.
• Pursue industry recognition deliberately. Identify target awards (Webby, UX Design Awards, Fast Company Innovation by Design, W³, App Store Editor's Choice, Google Play's Best Of) and align roadmap, design polish, and submission timing to compete for them.
• Champion accessibility (WCAG 2.2 AA), performance, and reliability as non-negotiable parts of the customer experience.
• Use analytics and product instrumentation (e.g., Pendo, Adobe, Google Analytics, Amplitude, Firebase, App Store Connect, Play Console) to measure what actually moves the rating, not just what looks good in a deck.
• Work hand-in-hand with Customer Care and Field Operations to close the loop between what customers report and what we ship.

• Experience writing user stories and acceptance criteria that engineering teams have actually built from in Agile/Scrum environments.
• Comfort partnering with UX designers and researchers; you can read a Figma file, run a usability session, and tell a good design from a great one.
• Strong written and verbal communication — including the ability to write a clear PRD and present a roadmap to executives.
• Bachelor's degree in Business, Computer Science, Information Systems, HCI, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
Nice to Have Skills & Experience

• Hands-on comfort with product analytics tools (Pendo, Amplitude, Adobe, Firebase, App Store Connect, Play Console) and the ability to pull your own data.
• Experience submitting work to design and product awards programs.
• A portfolio, case study, or writing sample that shows how you think and how you ship.
