Job Description
This role will focus heavily on engineering work—configuring, integrating, and optimizing security tools across the environment. The engineer will be responsible for implementing and maintaining solutions like Splunk and Defender for Endpoint, ensuring proper system integrations, and supporting ongoing security initiatives. Daily work will include building queries and dashboards in Splunk, applying security patches, and improving overall visibility and monitoring capabilities. The role will also involve network segmentation efforts and working across multiple security products to enhance posture and scalability.

Required Skills & Experience
Strong hands-on experience with Splunk (engineering level, not just user-level)
Experience with Microsoft Defender for Endpoint (configuration and integration)
Proven background in security tools integration and system configuration
Ability to build queries and dashboards in Splunk
Experience with network segmentation and security architecture
CISSP certification (completed or in progress)
Background working in enterprise environments or consulting settings
Ability to operate independently in a senior-level engineering capacity
Familiarity with Palo Alto firewalls (basic knowledge preferred; not hands-on management)
Nice to Have Skills & Experience
Experience with Guardicore, Armis, Ixia, or similar security tools
Exposure to additional endpoint or network security platforms
Experience working with new tool implementations or greenfield environments
