Job Description
We are currently seeking a Data Manager to join our IT team. The selected individual will manage and oversee the IT application services function for Data Governance, Data Lakehouse and MDM. The Data Manager will work closely with the business community, IT staff, and management in support of core processes and critical business priorities. In this role, the selected individual will direct activities and projects related to the assigned to the team, including project initiation, planning & analysis, development, testing/user acceptance, deployment, and ongoing production support. As a leadership role, the individual will ensure the Project Life Cycle is followed and appropriately applied; participating in all phases, as well as ensuring appropriate test plans are established and implemented for assigned projects.
Among other key priorities, the Data Manager will monitor responsible parties for data integrity and ensure compliance with policies and procedures. They will also monitor service levels of production systems and compliance with service level agreements and ensure that program documentation, including flow charts and test cases, is developed and maintained for all assigned applications. Pay starting at 80/hr

Required Skills & Experience
* Bachelor's Degree; Note: Relevant, progressively responsible work experience may be substituted on a year-for-year basis for the required education.
* Minimum of six years relevant experience, including four years in a leadership role.
* Knowledge of Data Warehouse ELT data pipelines, SQL, BI reporting.
* Experience with Data Lake/Lakehouse.
* Leadership experience leading Data Modernization projects.
* Over four years of experience with Databricks, and various MDM and BI tools.
* Significant experience supporting custom and third party business applications, as well as understanding project interdependencies and systems integrations.
* Ability to understand and improve systems; evaluates system’s current state/practices and recommend modifications.
* Solid working knowledge of P&C insurance business and insurance terminology.
* Ability to provide the team vision and direction for the growth and success of FCCI. Demonstrates the ability to think and execute plans while remaining focused on the departmental and company objectives.
* Excellent communication, negotiation, interpersonal and organizational skills.
* Ability to analyze, define and solve problems; the use of good judgment and decision-making.
* Technical expertise building Databricks Delta Lake based Lakehouse using PySpark jobs, Databricks workflow, Unity Catalog, Delta sharing, Serverless computing and medallion architecture.
Nice to Have Skills & Experience
* Provide guidance on ML & AI support team on coding standards and framework development.
* Expert working knowledge of multiple operating systems, databases, tools & programming languages used by FCCI, (Specifically Duck Creek).
