Day-to-Day:
• Assist in managing enterprise-level IT projects through all project phases
• Serve as liaison between OIT and university functional teams
• Communicate project status, risks, updates, and changes to stakeholders
• Manage project scope, requirements, priorities, and testing efforts
• Facilitate meetings with leadership, users, vendors, and developers
• Maintain project documentation (plans, timelines, budgets, WBS, RACI)
• Ensure alignment on deliverables and expectations across teams
• Collaborate with leadership to standardize project management practices
• Support development and maintenance of templates and PM best practices
• Work independently on complex, mission-critical cross-division initiatives
Job Description:
Insight Global is seeking a Jr. Project Manager for a higher education IT environment. This candidate will support and lead enterprise-level projects across the full project lifecycle, partnering closely with technical teams and university stakeholders. The role requires strong organizational and communication skills to collect requirements, manage scope, timelines, and stakeholder expectations effectively. This individual will play a key role in driving project execution, maintaining documentation, and helping standardize project management practices across the organization while contributing to impactful, cross-functional initiatives.
Hourly Rate: $25-$40/hr based on professional experience

Required Skills & Experience
• 1–3 years of Project Management experience
• Bachelor’s Degree
• Background in IT Project Management
• Strong communication skills (written and verbal)
• Experience managing full project lifecycle (Initiation → Closing)
• Ability to work independently on complex, cross-functional projects
• Experience managing scope, requirements, priorities, and timelines
• Stakeholder management and engagement experience
• Familiarity with project documentation (WBS, RACI charts, timelines, budgets)
• Experience with requirements gathering
• Strong analytical mindset and skillset
Nice to Have Skills & Experience
• Experience working with Agile teams and methodologies
• Exposure to higher education or university environments
• Experience creating or refining project templates and standards
• Background working with vendors and cross-functional tech teams
