Job Description
We're looking for a Product Owner to join the team of a large fleet management client. On a day-to-day basis, this Data Product Owner will operate in 2-week sprints, spending the majority of their time partnering directly with external customers to understand how they want to consume fleet and telematics data, then translating those needs into clear user stories, features, and API or dashboard-driven data products. They will lead discovery sessions, virtual roadshows, and working sessions to gather requirements, collaborate with engineering and data teams on ETL and product delivery, and help shape how data is exposed through APIs and developer platforms. Internally, they will use SQL and Power BI to monitor product usage, maintain KPI dashboards, and ensure data accuracy and performance, while continuously refining features and presenting insights, roadmaps, and proposals to leadership. The salary ranges from $95k- 118k.

Required Skills & Experience
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience)
• 5+ years of experience in product ownership, product management, technical program management, or analytics, delivering data platforms, data products, or APIs
• Strong ability to lead customer discovery and translate needs into user stories, technical requirements, and measurable outcomes
• Experience with Power BI (or similar) for KPI tracking, dashboarding, and data visualization
• Hands-on proficiency with SQL for data analysis, querying, validation, and performance monitoring
• Proven ability to communicate data insights to both technical and non-technical stakeholders
• Working knowledge of cloud data warehousing/analytics (Snowflake preferred) and REST APIs
• Familiarity with AI/ML concepts and lifecycle, partnering with data science teams
• Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills in cross-functional environments
Nice to Have Skills & Experience
• Experience with data governance (data contracts, lineage, quality, entitlements, privacy)
• Background in fleet/logistics, telematics, or operational analytics
• Exposure to MLOps, experimentation, or A/B testing
• Experience in Agile environments (Scrum/Kanban; Jira, Azure DevOps)
Relevant certifications (CSPO, Power BI PL-300, Snowflake SnowPro)
