Job Description

Under the direction of the Accounting Manager, the incumbent will assist with the set up and standardization of cafe accounting processes to include general accounting functions, accounts payable, payroll, accounts receivable, collections, bank and G/L account reconciliations, financial reporting and period end close.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
· Compiles and analyzes financial information to prepare journal entries to General Ledger while documenting business transactions.
· Accounting for corporate shared services costs and allocations to subsidiaries.
· Reconcile multiple café bank accounts and assure that the related accounting entries are accurate, timely, and consistently recorded.
· Assists in developing, analysis and updating of all Balance Sheet Reconciliations.
· Prepare detailed account analysis.
· Assists in assessing and communicating financial results to café regional controllers and executive management team.
· Detailed account analysis and reconciliation for inter-company accounts to include international and multi-currency transactions.
· Resolves account discrepancies by researching, verifying, allocating, posting, reconciling transactions.
· Responsible for ensuring the month-end close and year-end close is completed accurately and timely.
· Efficiently works and communicates with all levels of management to obtain information as required.
· Gathers, maintains and provides information to assist with quarterly & yearly audits for the Internal and External Auditors
· Possess strong supervisory skills to oversee the financials of the company owned cafes.
· Required to maintain functions in accordance with finance policies and practices, GAAP, FASB and other internal control standards.
· Keeps current any departmental check list or procedures.
Work with the systems support team to drive financial systems improvements and support systems conversions

Required Skills & Experience

Bachelor's Degree in Accounting
5+ years of Corporate Accounting experience
Experience with journal entries, General Ledger, allocations, balance sheet reconciliations
Strong Excel - reporting backages
Experience with Accounting Software packages

Nice to Have Skills & Experience

Masters Degree
CPA
Workday Experience
Experience in gaming, restaurant, hospitality industry
