Job Description

The Level 3 Application Support team member will be part of a group that is responsible for the maintenance and support of firm applications. This function has broad knowledge of the business functions to resolve critical and strategic business technology challenges. The team member is responsible for adherence to Service Level Agreements for Level 3 application support services. This individual performs advanced troubleshooting at the application level. Using his/her domain knowledge and relevant expertise, he/she will identify the area of fault (code, environment, or configuration) and guide the appropriate team in constructing and implementing the fix. The specialist is individually responsible for delivering technical diagnosis and solution prescription within his/her specific technology expertise and assigned applications.

Required Skills & Experience

Experience level: 5-7 years
AI Tooling experience (Cursor, Claude Code, Codex)
Some development experience helpful (C#, .NET, JS)
Ability to write SQL database queries
Experience with Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS), including container orchestration and management
Experience with containerization technologies, including container creation, management, and deployment (e.g., Docker, container runtimes)
Knowledge of Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) processes using Microsoft DevOps
Experience with container registries, particularly Artifactory
Experience with configuration management tools (e.g., Ansible, Chef, Puppet)
Proficiency in infrastructure-as-code (IaC) tools like Terraform or CloudFormation
Proficiency in networking for containers (e.g., Kubernetes networking, DNS, load balancing, service discovery)
Knowledge of microservices architecture (understanding how to build, deploy, and manage microservices using AKS)
Experience with cloud platforms, particularly Azure, and integrating containerized applications into cloud environments
Experience with logging and monitoring tools, specifically DataDog and Azure Application Insights
Experience with container lifecycle management (e.g., building, deploying, scaling, and managing containers)
Experience with automation and scripting (e.g., Bash, Python, Go) to automate workflows and system management
Proficiency in troubleshooting and optimizing containerized applications (e.g., resource allocation, performance tuning)
Experience with ITIL ticket management processes and handling incident, problem, and change management related to containerized environments
