Job Description
Insight Global is seeking a Cyber Systems Engineer for a high-impact defense client supporting enterprise cyber operations. This individual will serve as a key engineer responsible for designing, building, and optimizing advanced endpoint security solutions across a large-scale DoD environment. The role focuses on enhancing cyber tools, automating security processes, and improving system resiliency across thousands of endpoints. This engineer will collaborate across teams to integrate security technologies, troubleshoot complex issues, and drive innovation through scalable architecture and automation, ensuring mission-critical systems remain secure, efficient, and highly available.
• Design and engineer enterprise endpoint security tools and architectures
• Deploy and maintain Trellix, Fortra, and Solidcore solutions
• Manage and optimize 19+ ePO servers for performance and resiliency
• Integrate cyber tools across enterprise systems and mission applications
• Perform advanced troubleshooting and root cause analysis for endpoint issues
• Develop automation scripts (PowerShell/Python) for tool optimization
• Build and maintain IaC frameworks for provisioning security infrastructure
• Implement security hardening, backup, and disaster recovery strategies
• Create technical documentation, diagrams, and reporting artifacts
• Support security exercises, audits, and vulnerability assessments
Provide technical mentorship and training to junior team members

Required Skills & Experience
• Active TS/SCI clearance
• BA/BS degree or equivalent experience
• 8+ years of cyber engineering / endpoint security engineering experience
• DoD 8140/8570 compliant certification
• Strong experience with Trellix suite (ENS, DLP, MA, RSD, PA) & Solidcore
• Deep expertise with ePolicy Orchestrator (ePO) administration and troubleshooting
• Advanced knowledge of endpoint security architecture & cyber threat mitigation
• Proficiency in PowerShell or similar scripting languages
Strong understanding of DoD cybersecurity policies and compliance frameworks
Nice to Have Skills & Experience
• Experience supporting USCENTCOM or similar DoD environments
• Familiarity with vulnerability management tools and processes
• Experience building Infrastructure as Code (DSC, Puppet)
• Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines for security tooling
• ITIL 4 Foundation certification
Proven ability to mentor junior engineers and lead initiatives
