Job Description

About the Role
We are seeking a Construction Coordinator / Site Manager to oversee the buildout of small to mid-sized retail projects, such as auto service and tire centers. This role will focus on onsite coordination, subcontractor supervision, and ensuring projects are completed safely, on time, and in alignment with plans.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone with foundational construction knowledge who is looking to step into a leadership role. The ideal candidate is organized, detail-oriented, and comfortable managing day-to-day site operations rather than performing manual labor.

Key Responsibilities
Supervise daily onsite construction activities and ensure subcontractors are present, productive, and working safely
Coordinate closely with ownership and project partners to track progress and address issues
Read and interpret blueprints, site plans, and basic construction drawings
Assist with site layout, framing coordination, and overall build sequencing
Ensure all work is performed in compliance with project timelines, safety standards, and quality expectations
Monitor subcontractor performance and proactively address delays or inconsistencies
Maintain strong communication across all parties to keep projects moving efficiently
Provide hands-on oversight and direction in a fast-paced construction environment

Required Skills & Experience

Qualifications
Some experience in construction (any trade background preferred—carpentry, framing, site work, etc.)
Basic ability to read and understand blueprints and construction plans
Prior experience leading teams or supervising crews is a strong plus
Strong organizational and coordination skills
Ability to manage multiple moving parts and maintain attention to detail
Comfortable taking direction while also holding subcontractors accountable
Strong communication skills and a proactive, problem-solving mindset

Nice to Have Skills & Experience

Preferred (Not Required)
Experience as a Superintendent, Assistant Superintendent, or Site Coordinator
Familiarity with small commercial or retail construction projects
Experience coordinating subcontractors across multiple trades
