Job Description

Insight Global’s partner in the Public Sector space is searching for a Space Planner to join their Real Property team. This individual will provide centralized oversight of County-owned space to ensure facilities are appropriately utilized and aligned with departmental needs. This role focuses on space planning, utilization monitoring, and internal coordination, not real estate sales. Additional responsibilities include:
• Maintain a countywide, bird’s-eye view of all County-owned spaces and facilities
• Monitor vacant or underutilized spaces and coordinate reallocation efforts
• Serve as a point of contact for County departments seeking additional or alternative space
• Identify available space and circulate internal notices to determine County demand before external options are considered
• Coordinate Memorandums of Understanding (MOUs) between County entities (like leases, but internal)
• Conduct frequent on-site assessments of space and facility usage
• Participate in space-related and lease-related discussions and negotiations (documentation executed through leadership)
• Provide administrative and analytical support related to space utilization and planning
• Assist with budgeting and cost-related analysis associated with space use

Required Skills & Experience

• 3+ years of experience in space planning, property management, commercial real estate administration, or related fields
• Familiarity with lease documentation (leases, license agreements, MOUs)
• Strong organizational, communication, and administrative skills
• Comfort working in the field and coordinating across multiple departments

Nice to Have Skills & Experience

• Background in government or public sector environments
• Experience supporting real estate or space negotiations
• Strong budgeting and financial detail orientation
• College degree
