Insight Global is seeking an AI Enablement Engineer – Semantic Layer & AI for a large-scale, global Quick Service Restaurant (QSR) enterprise. This individual will play a foundational role in building and scaling a governed semantic layer that transforms raw restaurant data into trusted, business-ready insights. The role bridges business meaning and technical architecture, enabling AI-driven analytics, conversational insights, and autonomous workflows across restaurants, franchises, and corporate teams. This is a high-impact position focused on metric accuracy, AI reliability, and enterprise-scale data enablement.
Day-to-Day:
• Design and scale an enterprise semantic layer enabling AI, analytics, and reporting
• Define and govern canonical KPI definitions (sales, speed of service, traffic, labor)
• Build metadata-driven semantic models for high-criticality domains (finance, reporting)
• Implement hybrid semantic architecture combining manual models and AI-driven context engineering
• Enable consumption via BI tools, APIs, and AI applications
• Integrate semantic metadata into LLMs, agents, and copilots
• Establish governance, validation, versioning, and change management
• Partner with business and technical teams to drive adoption and enablement
• Create documentation, playbooks, and training for standardized metrics
Implement CI/CD, testing, and data quality checks for semantic assets

Required Skills & Experience
• 5+ years of experience in data engineering, analytics engineering, or AI/ML systems
• Strong experience with semantic modeling or analytics engineering
• Strong SQL and Python
• Experience with DBT and modern cloud platforms
Understanding of APIs and distributed systems
Nice to Have Skills & Experience
• Experience integrating vendor systems (labor, finance, inventory)
• Experience with semantic layers and metadata tools
Experience enabling data for AI/LLM use cases
