Job Description

Employees in this role have the responsibility of planning, designing, and executing various aspects of energy storage projects. This involves exploration of subject area, definition of scope, engineering oversight and consulting across cross functional teams to deliver a best-in-class product.
The ideal candidate embodies a blend of technical expertise with strong project management skills and has pertinent experience the energy storage field. This role pays $50-60/hour.

Required Skills & Experience

• 4+ Years experience Solar/PV Engineering and/or Construction.
○ 70% hands on technical engineer/30% project management duties
• Expertise in one or more of these areas: Power electronics, Battery storage system design, Substation design, Generation tie design.
• Exp working with up to 8 projects at a time
• Exp working with large scale projects; 75 and a half MW
• Bachelors Degree in any discipline (preferred is Electrical)

Nice to Have Skills & Experience

• Experience with permitting
• Experience with electrical studies
• Come from an electrical background
• Familiarity with lithium-ion battery storage safety standards (UL1973, UL9540, UL9540A, NFPA 855, NFPA 70E, NEC, applicable IFC/IBC sections).
• Familiarity with IEC 61215, 61646, 61730.
Familiarity with energy storage technologies, including battery chemistries, power conversion units, and DC/DC converters.
