Job Description
A client of Insight Global is seeking an Arborist to support the maintenance and care of public trees and landscaped areas across city parks, athletic fields, and public facilities. This role performs skilled arboriculture work including planting, pruning, removals, stump grinding, fertilizing, and diagnosing tree health issues while following ISA and ANSI A300 standards. Responsibilities include operating equipment such as aerial lifts, bucket trucks, chainsaws, chippers, and rigging tools safely and efficiently. The Arborist will inspect trees, identify hazards or treatment needs, maintain accurate records, and may assist with ordinance compliance and field inspections. The position may also provide training or oversight to parks or public works staff, and support general maintenance tasks as needed. Work is performed outdoors in varying weather conditions and requires strong problem‑solving skills and the ability to work independently.

Required Skills & Experience
Associate’s degree OR equivalent experience in arboriculture
3+ years of hands-on arboriculture work (pruning, planting, removals, tree maintenance)
Experience working to ISA and ANSI A300 tree‑care standards
Safe operation of bucket trucks, aerial lifts, chainsaws, chippers, stump grinders, and rigging equipment
Valid Florida driver’s license
ISA Certified Arborist and FEMA ICS certifications
Ability to work outdoors and perform moderately physical labor (20–50 lbs, up to 100 lbs occasionally)
Nice to Have Skills & Experience
Experience in municipal, parks, or public works environments
Supervisory or staff‑training experience
Familiarity with tree/vegetation ordinances and permit inspections
Experience conducting tree risk assessments
