Job Description

Insight Global is seeking to hire a highly motivated and experienced Construction Inspector to support the construction of roadways and bridges as the company expands their Jacksonville, FL operations.

The Engineering Construction Inspector is a key member of our field inspection team, responsible for overseeing the construction of roadways and bridges to ensure that all work is performed in accordance with FDOT standards and project specifications. This role is critical in
maintaining the integrity of Florida's transportation infrastructure by conducting rigorous
inspections and reporting on construction activities.

Responsibilities:
• Perform detailed inspections of roadway and bridge construction projects to ensure
adherence to all applicable standards, codes, and specifications.
• Accurately document inspection results and compile comprehensive reports to maintain
records of construction compliance with FDOT requirements.
• Work collaboratively with the construction crew, project engineers, and managers to discuss
and rectify potential issues identified during inspections.
• Keep track of construction progress, focusing on aspects such as earthwork, asphalt paving,
concrete reinforcement, and structural steelwork.
• Maintain and properly handle inspection tools and equipment in accordance with industry
best practices.

Required Skills & Experience

-Associate or Bachelors degree in civil engineering, construction management or related
- 2+ years of experience in construction inspection (focus on road and bridge projects)
-Holds a CTQP certification

Nice to Have Skills & Experience

-Experience with prior FDOT projects is a plus
-CCI, OSHA, Concrete and/or HMA certification is a plus
