The Operations & Maintenance Engineer and Contracts Administrator will support the daily operation and upkeep of a major highway corridor. This role focuses on ensuring the roadway is properly maintained and that all work is completed in accordance with contract requirements.

The position supports a 21-mile section of interstate highway in Central Florida. When construction was completed, it was the largest highway infrastructure project in the state’s history. The organization responsible for the project designed, built, financed, and now oversees the ongoing operation and maintenance of the roadway under a contract with the state transportation agency.

Operations and maintenance activities are carried out with the support of several contracted companies, including those responsible for traffic systems, roadway maintenance, and roadside assistance. Additional contractors may be engaged as needed.
