Job Description
SHIFT TIME (D): Friday - Sunday 5:00 pm to 5:30 AM
As a technician in this role, you will play a key role in the precise drilling, assembly, and integration of large‑scale aerospace structures. You will work with both metallic and composite materials, performing detailed processes such as precision drilling to tight tolerances, deburring, installing structural fasteners, and assembling large components. Your work will include surface preparation, component fixturing, and ensuring accurate alignment of structural parts to meet stringent engineering specifications. In addition, you will configure new production work areas with the necessary tooling and equipment to support efficient workflow during the transition to high‑rate manufacturing. You will operate precision‑calibrated tools—including torque wrenches, micrometers, and other metrology instruments—to maintain high safety and quality standards. This role also involves preparing and testing hardware through sealing, painting, composite layup, repairs, testing, and assisting with payload and vehicle assembly tasks. You will contribute to initiatives that enhance safety, efficiency, and productivity in accordance with 5S principles. Your expertise in fabrication methods, specification requirements, and high‑quality construction practices will be essential to supporting reliable aerospace manufacturing.

Required Skills & Experience
- 5+ years of experience in aerospace manufacturing, structures and other related field.
- Familiarity with one or more of the following: Basic use of hand tools & Drills
- Ability to interpret engineering drawings and specifications accurately.
- Experience with precision calibration tools including torque wrenches, micrometers, calipers, laser tracker, and optical measuring instruments.
- Ability to lift 50lbs and comfortable working at heights (work stands, ladders, lifts) and/or in confined spaces.
- Expertise in various applications, including adhesives, sealants, and thermal blankets.
- Proficiency in digital tools, including Windows and Microsoft Office applications.
Nice to Have Skills & Experience
-Industry certification, trade school training and/or degree in related field.
- Knowledge of precision assembly processes and handling large aerospace components.
- Strong technical and leadership skills with a keen attention to detail, essential for leading teams in complex integration tasks.
- Effective communication and collaboration skills in teams to foster a positive work environment.
- Continuous improvement mindset and curiosity for optimizing processes, driving innovation.
- Lean Manufacturing and/or Six Sigma certification.
- Willingness to work overtime.
