Job Description

Insight Global is looking for a Technical Writer to join their team. The Technical Writing Specialist will be responsible for creating clear, accurate, and user-friendly documentation to support training and operational excellence. This role involves analyzing existing materials, authoring structured content, and collaborating with subject matter experts to ensure consistency and quality across all deliverables.
• Lead the collection and analysis of existing documentation (manuals, procedures, checklists) to extract key information for new hire training.
• Author and organize playbook content, translating complex engineering procedures into clear, step-by-step guidance and digestible learning modules.
• Ensure consistency in tone, format, and terminology across all sections by applying standardized templates and style conventions.
• Collaborate closely with SMEs and stakeholders to incorporate feedback, update drafts, and finalize written materials.
• Maintain version control of documents and produce ancillary training aids (graphics, flowcharts, etc.) to support the text.

$40-$60/Hr

Required Skills & Experience

Bachelor’s degree in Technical Communication, English, Engineering, or a related field.

Proven experience in technical writing, documentation development, or instructional design.

Strong ability to translate complex technical concepts into clear, concise language.

Proficiency with documentation tools and version control systems.

Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.

Experience creating training materials, playbooks, or learning modules.

Nice to Have Skills & Experience

• Familiarity with engineering processes and terminology.
