Job Description
The Firewall Operations Analyst will be responsible for the day-to-day operations of network firewalls. This will include working tickets for firewall change requests, working with projects to advise from a network security perspective, and troubleshooting network issues that from a firewall perspective.
Additional responsibilities include the patching and maintenance of Checkpoint firewalls.
Strong knowledge of Checkpoint firewalls, VPN configuration/troubleshooting, and network security best practices is a requirement. The primary responsibilities include troubleshooting network and firewall issues, specifically with Checkpoint firewalls and Cisco routers and switches, while planning, engineering, and implementing firewall changes. The role involves collaborating with Enterprise Architects and business partners on network security needs, representing the Firewall Operations team in project meetings, and maintaining firewalls through patching, upgrades, and hardware troubleshooting. Additional duties include adhering to the change management process and producing technical documentation for firewall changes and standards.

Required Skills & Experience
-6+ years of experience supporting Firewalls
-Recent experience with Checkpoint firewalls (R81.x or higher)
-Experience with routing and switching (Cisco)
-Experience with VPN setup, implementation, and troubleshooting
-Experience with regulatory compliance environment
Nice to Have Skills & Experience
-Experience with Azure and Amazon VPNs with Checkpoint preferred
-Experience with regulatory compliance environment (NERC preferred)
