Job Description

A client of Insight Global is seeking a Practice Assistant to join their team in Tallahassee, FL. The Practice Assistant is responsible for providing high-quality administrative support to a group of lawyers and professionals in a team environment, effectively and efficiently meeting Firm/client needs. The Practice Assistant position is currently a hybrid role with designated days required to be in the office, which may change depending on future needs of the Firm or industry standards. This position requires being in office 4 days/week and generally will work 35-37 hours per week, with the opportunity for overtime as approved/available.

Required Skills & Experience

4 – 5 years of experience supporting lawyers and paralegals with administrative or client-related tasks

Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite and Adobe.

Experience with document management systems and electronic signature software programs.

General knowledge of litigation practices and procedures; knowledge of court systems (general district/small claims, circuit, federal, appellate) & procedures (where to find Local Rules of Court and Judge’s Standing Orders.).

Expertise with PACER and other electronic filing in state and federal courts, and administrative agencies.

Experience with preparing legal documents (pleadings, discovery, document production materials, memoranda)

Bachelor's degree

Nice to Have Skills & Experience

Experience with the following software and tools (or similar):
- iManage - doc management system
- InTapp
- Chrome River - invoice submittals
- Aderant - billing system
- Bill Blast - ebilling
