Job Description

Our client is looking for a Technical Trainer/Instructional Designer to work on the state’s Child Welfare System onsite in Tallahassee. In this role you will play a critical role in supporting the implementation and adoption of the Florida Comprehensive Child Welfare Information System (CCWIS). This position is responsible for developing and delivering high-quality training materials, ensuring alignment with Florida statutes and administrative codes, and facilitating effective communication between project teams and stakeholders. The ideal candidate will be a proactive communicator, skilled instructional designer, and collaborative team member with a strong understanding of child welfare systems and case management workflows. Conduct assessments of current technology capabilities, challenges, and opportunities. Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Curriculum Development & Training Delivery
• Design and develop training content including user guides, instructional videos, FAQs, and learner resources.
• Ensure training materials align with Florida Statutes, Florida Administrative Code, and Department CFOPs.
• Organize and deliver training sessions to internal staff and external stakeholders as needed.
Project Collaboration & Stakeholder Engagement
• Participate in regular CCWIS meetings to assess readiness for curriculum development.
• Maintain consistent communication with the CCWIS Team Lead, project leads, and stakeholders.
• Collaborate with subject matter experts to ensure training content reflects current workflows and system functionality.
Reporting & Compliance
• Monitor and report on training compliance and effectiveness.
• Conduct fact-finding research to support curriculum updates and improvements.
• Identify training gaps and propose solutions to enhance user adoption and system utilization.
Technical & Analytical Support
• Organize data into logical formats for presentation in reports and training materials.
• Apply problem-solving techniques to address training-related challenges.
• Stay current with system updates and evolving technologies used within CCWIS.

Required Skills & Experience

• Demonstrated experience in developing and implementing technology strategies or enterprise policies for a large organization
• Knowledge of FloridaSafeFamiliesNetwork (FSFN), FL CCWIS, or similar state agency records/case management systems and associated workflows
• Experience in organizing data into logical formats for presentation in reports, documents, and other written materials
• Experience in conducting fact-finding research
• Ability to understand and apply applicable rules, regulations, policies and procedures relating to operational and management analysis activities
• Strong knowledge of curriculum development.
• Ability to provide excellent customer support; meticulous quality of work and work product
• Demonstrated knowledge of FloridaSafeFamiliesNetwork (FSFN), CCWIS, or similar case management systems.
• Experience in instructional design, curriculum development, and training delivery.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
• Proficiency in creating digital training content (e.g., videos, guides, e-learning modules).
• Familiarity with Florida child welfare policies and procedures.
• Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends when necessary.

Nice to Have Skills & Experience

• Experience in public sector or child welfare environments
• Knowledge of adult learning principles and training evaluation methods.
• Proficiency with tools such as Microsoft Office, Adobe Creative Suite, or e-learning platforms
