Job Description

We are seeking a motivated and growth-oriented Civil Engineer to join our Land Development team. This role is ideal for an Engineer in Training (EIT) preparing to sit for their PE exam, or a licensed Professional Engineer (PE) with up to 5 years of experience. The successful candidate will play a key role in designing and managing land development projects, contributing to both technical production and client engagement.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead and manage multiple land development projects from concept through permitting.
Collaborate with drafters/designers to develop site plans and construction documents using AutoCAD and Civil 3D.
Create and lay out master plans, including Paving, Grading, and Drainage (PGD) designs for permit submission.
Perform engineering calculations and incorporate feedback from team members and stakeholders.
Build and maintain client relationships, including occasional travel to project sites.
Mentor and oversee junior staff, including EITs and drafters.
Contribute to the growth of the practice at Almond by building a team and expanding client base.

Required Skills & Experience

-Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or related field.
EIT certification (actively pursuing PE) or PE license.
-0–5 years of experience in civil engineering, with a focus on land development.
-Proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D
-Strong communication and collaboration skills.
-Ability to manage multiple projects and clients simultaneously.
-Willingness to travel to client sites as needed.

Nice to Have Skills & Experience

Experience with PGD design and permitting processes.
Leadership potential and interest in building a team and practice area.
