Job Description
The Purchasing Agent Level 1.5 is responsible for supporting procurement activities by coordinating with vendors, managing purchase orders, and ensuring timely delivery of goods and services. This role requires a solid understanding of purchasing procedures, vendor relations, and inventory management, with the ability to handle moderately complex procurement tasks independently.
Key Responsibilities
• Assist in sourcing and selecting suppliers based on price, quality, and delivery capabilities.
• Prepare and process purchase orders and requisitions for materials, supplies, and equipment.
• Monitor and track order status to ensure timely delivery and resolve any discrepancies.
• Maintain accurate purchasing records and documentation in compliance with company policies.
• Collaborate with internal departments to understand purchasing needs and specifications.
• Evaluate vendor performance and assist in maintaining preferred supplier lists.
• Support cost-saving initiatives and identify opportunities for procurement efficiencies.
• Handle moderately complex purchasing transactions and escalate issues as needed.
• Participate in contract negotiations under supervision and ensure compliance with terms.
• Assist in inventory control and forecasting to support procurement planning.
This will be onsite 5x/week in Fort Lauderdale.
Pay Rate: $30-38/hr depending on experience

Required Skills & Experience
• Associate’s degree in Business, Supply Chain, or related field (Bachelor’s preferred).
• 2–4 years of purchasing or procurement experience.
• Familiarity with ERP systems and procurement software.
• Strong communication and negotiation skills.
• Ability to analyze data and make informed purchasing decisions.
• Detail-oriented with strong organizational and time management skills.
• Knowledge of procurement regulations and best practices.
Nice to Have Skills & Experience
• Experience working in a manufacturing or industrial environment.
• Basic understanding of contract law and vendor agreements.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced setting.
