Job Description
Insight Global client in the Energy Utilities Industry is searching for a Level 2 or Level 3 Cyber Security Analyst to report to one of their Power Plants in the Tampa Bay area. This role is focused on protecting and strengthening the cybersecurity posture of Operational Technology systems. The analyst will be responsible for maintaining accurate asset inventories, performing routine security checks, and identifying vulnerabilities across OT environments. They’ll help shape and enforce cybersecurity standards and procedures, ensuring alignment with industry best practices and regulatory guidelines.
The position involves evaluating risks, responding to threats, and supporting the development of remediation strategies. It also includes collaborating with other teams to ensure consistent security practices, improving awareness, and driving cross-functional alignment between IT and OT. As part of a broader cybersecurity initiative, the analyst may lead projects, mentor team members, and contribute to the continuous improvement of the organization’s OT security framework.

Required Skills & Experience
Level 2
High School Diploma or equivalent
Minimum of 6 years in similar technical or cybersecurity roles.
Alternate paths:
Associate’s Degree + 4 years of relevant experience
Bachelor’s Degree + 3 years of relevant experience
Solid grasp of OS and network security, including web server protection.
Hands-on experience with threat detection tools and forensic investigations.
Proficiency in scripting (Python, Bash, PowerShell) and penetration testing.
Working knowledge of compliance and regulatory standards.
Strong risk assessment and reporting capabilities.
1 related Information Security professional certification or ability to obtain via self-study within one year of hire date (ex: CISCO, (ISC)2, GIAC, ISA, ISACA, CompTIA, e-Council, etc.)
Level 3
High School Diploma or equivalent
Minimum of 8 years in cybersecurity or OT-related technical environments.
Alternate paths:
Associate’s Degree + 4 years of relevant experience
Bachelor’s Degree + 2 years of relevant experience
Proven experience designing and implementing OT cybersecurity programs.
Deep understanding of threat landscapes and control adoption in OT environments.
Expertise in forensic analysis, malware reverse engineering, and advanced packet inspection.
Skilled in scripting and automation for security operations.
Leadership in aligning cybersecurity practices with industry standards and mentoring others.
1 related Information Security professional certification or ability to obtain via self-study within one year of hire date (ex: CISCO, (ISC)2, GIAC, ISA, ISACA, CompTIA, e-Council, etc.)
