We are looking for a Generator Engineer for one of our large energy companies. This candidate will focus on improving the reliability and performance of turbine and generator systems across the fleet. Youll be part of a team that helps keep power plant generators running smoothly and reliably. Your job is to make sure these machines are well-maintained, safe, and working efficiently.
Provide oversight/engineering support for generator systems.
Coordinate with plant operations, vendors, OEMs, and internal teams.
Develop and manage outage work scopes and documentation.
Serve as the technical owner of generator, exciter, and auxiliary systems.
Support planned and emergent outages with onsite engineering presence.
Conduct root cause analysis, trend monitoring, and reliability assessments.
Write technical justifications, procurement specs, and oversee vendor work.
Use tools like OSI PI Vision and Microsoft Office for data analysis and reporting.

Bachelors degree in engineering from an ABET-accredited program.
6+ years of engineering experience (or 5+ years with PE license).
Field engineer experience from an OEM (Original Equipment Manufacturer)
Experience with turbines or generators
Hybrid work model (must live within commuting distance).
Travel 2535% within Florida.
Work in both office and power plant environments.
Occasional overtime, including nights and weekends.
Knowledge of power plant operations and maintenance.
Passed the Engineering Fundamentals Exam.
Familiarity with project management principles and data analytics.
