This individual will be responsible for upholding rigorous standards throughout all phases of production and service to ensure contractual and regulatory compliance. This role involves developing, modifying, and maintaining inspection protocols for incoming, in-process, and final products. The inspector conducts detailed audits, tests, and validations to verify that processes align with technical specifications and customer requirements. They validate operator certifications and ensure special processes are properly calibrated. In addition to authoring and revising inspection procedures, the inspector may evaluate external vendors and subcontractors to ensure quality performance. Proficiency in operating inspection tools and measuring equipment is essential, as is participating in root-cause analysis and corrective action implementation. Follow-up audits are conducted to verify the effectiveness of these actions. The role also entails gathering and analyzing statistical data to monitor trends in quality metrics. Communication across departments, vendors, and customers is key to resolving quality issues, and the inspector provides clear, timely activity and status updates to management. The position operates under general supervision and may include other duties as needed to support the organizations commitment to excellence.

- Bachelors degree in a engineering, materials, supply chain, management, business or technical discipline. In lieu of formal education, equivalent experience in a related field.
2 years experience in manufacturing/assembly operations, quality, engineering (design or manufacturing), and materials/procurement; preferably in aerospace electronics; these areas may be replaced by related military experience.
High level of analytical ability to identify and evaluate appropriate courses of action for definition and resolution of complex problems.
Demonstrated self-starter & the ability to perform with minimal supervision.
English written and verbal communication skills to execute job duties adequately.
Proficient with Microsoft Office suite of programs.
Aerospace and Defense MRP experience required, SAP preferred
Certified Green Belt or equivalent, Lean Expert or Black Belt (preferred, not required).
Experience with Aerospace products preferred.
Additional experience or training in RCCA, Process Mapping, FMEAs and Control Plans or APQP/PPAP preferred.
Experience using Six Sigma Plus tools preferred.
Excellent organizational and project management skills and ability to work on multiple projects in parallel.
