Job Description
Day to Day:
The Managed Services System Engineer working as the right-hand person to Division Controller and closely with the VP of Finance. They will be working on a team of 7 other accountants. This position plays a critical role in the financial health of an organization by managing complex accounting tasks and ensuring accurate financial reporting.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS INCLUDE BUT NOT LIMITED TO;
1. Financial Reporting & Analysis
o Prepare timely and accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
o Analyze financial data to identify trends, variances, and areas for improvement.
o Ensure compliance with accounting standards (GAAP, IFRS, etc.).
o Collaborate with other departments on accounting related matters.
o Support the preparation of SEC filings (10-Q, 10-K, 8-K), including footnote disclosures and MD&A sections.
o Assist with implementation of new accounting standards.
2. General Ledger Management
o Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts.
o Review and approve journal entries and account reconciliations.
3. Audit Support
o Support internal and external audit processes including SOX compliance testing and walkthroughs.
o Provide necessary documentation and explanations to auditors.
4. Process Improvement
o Develop and implement improvements to accounting systems and processes.
o Assist with automation and system upgrades where applicable.

Required Skills & Experience
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience plus one year of related experience. Strong analytical, reasoning and problem-solving skills; ability to maintain accurate and detailed records.
Must have at least 3+ years accounting experience
CPA Required
Strong understanding of US GAAP, SEC reporting, and SOX compliance.
Strong proficiency in Word and Excel
Nice to Have Skills & Experience
Public experience a plus.
Great Plains experience a plus
