Job Description

Job Overview
The Helpdesk Specialist provides dedicated support to project managers utilizing Trimble Unity Construct (powered by e-Builder), a cloud-based construction project management system. This role ensures efficient system use by assisting with file management, staff training, and system optimization while fostering collaboration in a structured, process-driven environment. The ideal candidate is a proactive communicator with strong interpersonal skills and a commitment to enhancing project outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
File Management: Rename and organize files within Trimble Unity Construct to maintain a consistent, accessible project documentation system.
Staff Training: Conduct training sessions and create user-friendly documentation to support staff in navigating and utilizing Trimble Unity Construct effectively.
Project Manager Support: Provide real-time technical assistance to project managers, troubleshooting issues and ensuring seamless system functionality.
System Improvements: Recommend enhancements to workflows, reports, and dashboards based on user feedback and system capabilities to improve efficiency and compliance.
Implementation Support: Collaborate with IT and project teams to implement approved system improvements, ensuring alignment with organizational policies and audit requirements.

Required Skills & Experience

Minimum Qualifications
Education: Associates degree in Information Technology, Construction Management, or a related field. An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.
Experience: At least 2 years of experience in helpdesk support, project management software (preferably Trimble Unity Construct or e-Builder), or construction project administration.
Certifications: Trimble Unity Construct (e-Builder) training or certification (e.g., e-Builder Certified Professional) is a plus but not required.
Technical Skills:
o Proficiency in Trimble Unity Construct or similar project management software.
o Familiarity with cloud-based systems, digital workflows, and data management.
o Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) for documentation and reporting.
Interpersonal Skills:
o Excellent verbal and written communication skills to interact with project managers, staff, and external stakeholders.
o Strong customer service orientation with the ability to train and support users of varying technical expertise.
o Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented, process-driven environment.
Adaptability: Comfortable thriving in a structured, policy-driven workplace with clear protocols and compliance requirements.
Physical Requirements: Ability to perform desk-based tasks, including prolonged computer use.
