Job Description

Insight Global's client in the Construction space is searching for Heavy Off-Road Equipment Technician's with 3-5+ years of experience. This individual will be responsible for the following:
- Analyze issues and make repairs to maintain heavy construction equipment fleet primarily consisting of earth moving equipment
- Effectively troubleshoot, diagnose and repair electrical, mechanical, and hydraulic systems on mobile equipment safely
- Document detailed work activities in work orders
- Able to drive a one ton or larger vehicle
- Operate and inspect machines or equipment to diagnose defects.
- Disassemble and reassemble equipment using hoists and hand tools
- Must be able to read and comprehend repair manuals & equipment schematics
- Communicate with equipment OEMs to resolve repair & maintenance issues
- Examine parts for damage and/or excessive wear
- Testing of repaired equipment to ensure operating efficiently
- Complete preventative maintenance on all types of equipment

Required Skills & Experience

- A high school diploma or GED
- 3-5+ years of professional experience as a heavy equipment technician
- Experience with earthmoving and other construction equipment repair & maintenance
- Proficient computer skills including MS Office Suite, smartphones, and tablets
- Ability to work Overtime on a weekly basis, as needed

Nice to Have Skills & Experience

- College or Vocational degree
- Welding\torch cutting experience/certification preferred.
- Vocational training/certification
- Familiarity with scheduling and expediting the turnaround of a heavy equipment fleet is beneficial
- Caterpillar, Komatsu, Volvo, & John Deere earthmoving technician certifications
