Job Description

An enterprise medical device company is seeking a Technical Writer to join their team. The Technical Writer will develop and maintain technical documentation for Class II medical devices, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements. This role requires strong writing skills, industry experience, and the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams.

Key Responsibilities:

Create and edit technical documentation (user manuals, installation guides, troubleshooting guides, etc.).
Ensure documentation meets regulatory requirements and industry standards.
Develop illustrations, flow charts, diagrams, and product photos.
Collaborate with various departments to gather information and ensure accuracy.
Review and edit documents for clarity and compliance.
Implement documentation standards and best practices.
Mentor junior writers and manage documentation projects.

Required Skills & Experience

5+ years of overall technical writing experience in regulated industries (medical devices/pharmaceuticals).
Strong background in regulatory compliance.
Collaborative skills with marketing, clinical, quality, and regulatory teams.
Five+ years in writing/editing technical product documentation.
Ability to manage tasks and work independently.
Problem-solving skills and ability to handle multiple projects.
Familiarity with electro-mechanical concepts and software applications.
Experience in device labeling and packaging content development.
Knowledge of ERP systems (SAP, Oracle) and version control systems (GitHub, etc.).
Proficiency in photography and photo editing software (Adobe Photoshop).
Skilled in desktop publishing software (MadCap Flare, Adobe FrameMaker, etc.).
