A client of Insight Global's in the financial services space is seeking a Data Governance Engineer to report into the Data Governance Officer. This resource will be responsible for helping put together the data dictionary, working with various business units to develop data definition, and help to develop a process for data quality. The organization is starting to move from a database to a data lake house, so the Data Governance Engineer will join these initiatives along side the Data Analytics team.

Remote out of Alabama, Colorado, Florida, Georgia, Indiana, Kansas, Louisianna, Nebraska, Maryland, Michigan, Mississippi, North Carolina, South Carolina, Tennessee, Texas, Virgina
- 3 yrs of experience as a Data Governance Engineer
- Experience creating data dictionaries, developing processes for data quality, and data classification.
- Experience with Data Management tools such as Lightbeam, Azure, Microsoft Purview, etc.
- Experience with Collibra, Alation, or Informatica
- SQL experience / knowledge
- Knowledge of cloud - based data storage and processing platforms, preferrable Azure
- Excellent Communication
- Certifications such as Certified Data Management Professional (DAMA)
- Bachelor's Degree
- Lightbeam is a huge plus
