Senior IT Project Manager (Vendor Transition/Infrastructure)

Our Client is looking to bring on a LOCAL TO MIAMI Senior IT Infrastructure Project Manager specializing in Vendor Management of project transitions to help transition over a current vendor to another vendor for an infrastructure service project. This will be the initial main project the Senior IT Infrastructure Project Manager will lead and be involved in full time once transition is complete, this person will lead and take on infrastructure related projects that involve migrations and implementations of operating system upgrades and installations; VMware server builds; backup appliance implementations; storage capacity upgrades; server upgrades, migrations, and deployments. This person will work across multiple fleets on ships and have versatility in their project background. Strong Project Management fundamentals are required as this person will heavily be involved in process for full life cycle projects. This person will come from an enterprise level background and must understand the process of creating steps and sequences from the technical side of a project plan.

Desired Skills and Experience
Over 15 years of experience as a technical IT Project Manager with a high-level background leading Infrastructure and Vendor Management (vendor transition of infrastructure support) projects
Strong PMO background/experience involving large complex projects related to redesigning processes and standing up a new process navigating and pulling data for process reviews
Must have over 5 years of experience within ServiceNow to navigate and set up approval processes and track to create and implement new SNOW processes
Full lifecycle experience of projects including planning, scope, schedule, budget will manage and forecast budgets within enterprise level companies (GAAP/CapEx/OpEx)
Must come from an enterprise background leading multiple agendas and managing multi-million dollar budgets understand concepts of managing and owning projects and working with project development teams to deliver their pieces of capabilities
Experience managing multiple vendors and transitions from start to finish in the execution of their work
Experience with Waterfall and primarily with Agile projects/programs
Strong communicator, able to hold people accountable will be giving executive presentations and leading communication efforts for internal and external teams during the IT service transition
o Stressing the importance of soft people skills and communication for maximum program efficiency
MUST HAVE great personality (exciting, engaging, not shy) able to communicate clearly across leaders and executives hold people accountable to drive projects forward
Must have PMP Certification

Desired Skills and Experience Specific to Infrastructure
Background with projects related to VMware server builds and backup appliance implementations
Experience with Oracle and MS SQL databases for upgrades and installations
Experience with migrations and operating system upgrades and installation (Linux or Windows)
Experience working on projects involved with storage/backups and capacity increases
o Dell Compellent, EMC VNX/Unity/Vmax, or Veritas NetBackup
Experience working on projects related to replacing document management systems in the cloud
Experience with networking devices like switches, wireless controllers, satellites and Cisco wireless networks
